Where has Jo been?

It’s been a few years since I posted on my blog and I feel like I finally have the ability to get back to it. As some of my previous readers know, I was rear-ended in the Ft. McHenry Tunnel back in 2020 by a man who was texting and driving. My health issues have been worse since this time and we are actively looking for new doctors and a new treatment plan. I had initially been told that I should not speak about this incident or my ongoing health issues, but enough time has now passed that I am now in the clear.

I want to start off by saying thank you to those of you who have checked in on the blog since my silent exit a few years ago or reached out to me to ask about it. I also want to give an immense thank you to those of you who have continued to actually listen to and share my old podcast episodes since this time. Each episode is relatively short and there are only a few, so you can typically finish all of them in less than a few hours or a day. I used to discuss my health, deals for patients in Maryland, and events in the Maryland medical cannabis industry. I do still work in the cannabis industry, but my passions have shifted to another popular industry in the world right now – books.

Books have once again become my safe space and my escape, something that provides me immense joy through beautifully crafted stories. I have built a fellow community of readers on Instagram that I love discussing books and planning events with. With one of these fellow readers and actually a coworker’s wife, I have decided to rebrand my podcast to include both of my passions if I choose to do so. With that being said, I cannot wait to introduce everyone to the “Bluntly Bookish Podcast” in the upcoming months. We plan to discuss our current reads or reading recommendations as well as what we are currently using to medicate – for this reason, all listeners should be over the age of 21.

I look forward to bringing you all into the “Bluntly Bookish” world with J & R. Until then, let us know if you have any suggestions or would like to be featured.

You can catch up with me on Instagram! (Book account is @readjobookss)
